Heartbeat Supporters
Here at Heartbeat, it’s the support of individuals, churches, organizations and foundations that help keep our doors open. Heartbeat of Toledo is a 501 (c) (3) organization. We don't receive any governmental support nor do we charge for any of our services. Our donors and fundraising activities allow us to serve pregnant teens and women and their babies.

Heartbeat Named Jamie Farr Children's Charity

For the first time ever, Heartbeat of Toledo has been named one of the 11 children’s charities to benefit from the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic Presented by Kroger.

This year’s classic is planned for June 28-July 4 at Highland Meadows Golf Club. Since its inception in 1984, the tournament has donated $6.5 million to over 115 charities.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have been chosen as one of the children’s charities for this year,” says Lois Welch, Heartbeat board president.

As a beneficiary of the tournament, Heartbeat has been asked to provide volunteers to work that week. If you would be interested in volunteering, please call Heartbeat at 419-241-9131. We are particularly in need of volunteers to help with valet parking on June 28 and with clean-up on July 5. All volunteers receive a t-shirt and cap as well as a free pass for the week. They also get free food at the volunteer tent on the day(s) they work and are invited to a volunteer wrap-up party the week after the tournament.

Clothing and baby items are accepted at our office at 2130 Madison Ave. Please call ahead at 419-241-9131 to make sure that someone will be here to receive your donation. If you have a larger item like a crib or stroller, call us and we can make arrangements to have the St. Vincent de Paul Society pick up your item for us.
Change for Changing Lives of Mothers and Babies

Can your spare change make a difference to the moms and babies we serve? You bet. For the past three years, Heartbeat of Toledo has worked primarily with churches, but also with other groups, to offer this fundraising campaign. Churches that have participated have had their volunteers pass out baby bottles in the back of church for members to take home, fill with coins, and return to their church after a two-week period. A Heartbeat volunteer picks up the filled bottles. Heartbeat supplies the bottles and also submits bulletin announcements to inform parishioners of the upcoming campaign and its progress.

"Change for Changing Lives of Mothers and Babies"is an excellent way for ministries in churches to perform service and to help mothers and babies living in our community.
