Financial
Support
Here at Heartbeat, it's the support of individuals, churches,
organizations and foundations that help keep our doors
open. Heartbeat of Toledo is a 501(c)(3) organization.
We don't receive any governmental support nor do we charge
for any of our services. Our donors and fundraising activities
allow us to serve pregnant teens and women and their babies.
Our donors are truly valued at Heartbeat and we abide
by the
Donor
Bill of Rights (pdf).

Ultrasound
in Your First Look Clinic
In 2011, Heartbeat sonographers
performed approximately 300 ultrasounds giving pregnant
women the opportunity to take their first look at their
unborn child. The Knights of Columbus of the Diocese of
Toledo spearheaded a grant request to purchase the ultrasound.
Funds are continually needed for ultrasound maintenance,
training for volunteer sonographers and clinic expenses.
Enhancing
and Maintaining our Services
We need to spread the
word to the young women who need Heartbeat's services.
Your monetary donation can help us with advertising in
the newspaper, Internet, and radio, as well as help us
provide educational materials, volunteer training, purchasing
diapers, formulas and other baby items as needed.
Some of our supporters have chosen to budget a gift to
Heartbeat as part of their monthly budget plan. We now
offer Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) for an efficient
and secure way to give.
If a one-time gift better fits your plan, you may donate
by clicking the Donate button above or you may send a
check, payable to Heartbeat of Toledo.
Material
Donations
Consider donating clean,
gently used or new items to Heartbeat.
Please call ahead at 419-241-9131 to make sure that someone
will be here to receive your donation at our Sylvania
location. Many of the items are distributed to clients
through Heart to Heart, our Earn While You Learn program.
Baby
Bottle Fundraiser
Your spare change makes
a REAL difference to the moms and babies we serve. Heartbeat
of Toledo works with churches and other groups to implement
the "Change for Changing Lives of Mothers and Babies"
program which distributes empty baby bottles to members
to take home, fill with coins, and return after a two-week
period. A Heartbeat volunteer picks up the filled bottles.
Heartbeat supplies the bottles and also submits announcements
to inform church members of the upcoming campaign and
its progress.
This is an excellent way for ministries in churches to
perform service and to help mothers and babies living
in our community.
Attend
or Volunteer with our Special Events
Each year, friends of
Heartbeat gather together to support the mission in fun
ways. We host an annual golf tournament, and our annual
Breakfast is our largest fundraiser. Also, many individuals
choose to host their own baby showers for Heartbeat. What
a fun excuse to play shower games while donating strollers,
baby clothes, pack 'n plays, changing tables, diapers,
bibs, wipes, bathtubs, booties, blankets, onesies, and
the list goes on and on. Look
